“Efficient and pleasant to deal with”
Crystabel was recommended to me as someone who could organise the building of a cupboard around a new boiler in a bathroom. In fact she organised much more than that! By the end she had organised not just the building but also the design and functioning of the cupboard, arranged for it to be painted and finished plus a new blind for the bathroom window. She was efficient and pleasant to deal with, she has an excellent team of people behind her (I ordered blinds for other rooms through her), a very good sense of colour and design, her pricing is competitive, and what I thought was going to be a difficult project to finish was made incredibly easy because of her. I would certainly use her again.
I have to write and thank you for designing, arranging the manufacture and finally the painting of the fire screen which we installed on Monday. My family are delighted with it as am I, and it has had a marked effect on the warmth of the room. Its winter and I am no longer sending warm air up the chimney and out into the street! The room feels cosier and as a piece of art, it has drawn interested comment from every visitor.

I have been a client of Crystabel’s for over 10 years. I interviewed several interior designers when we first met and chose her for her relaxed style, significant experience and the fact that she really paid attention to what I wanted, rather than imposing her own particular style on me.
Over the years Crystabel has adapted brilliantly to my changing needs from a single city banker to a married mother of two small children. I have used her consistently to work on my interior projects, large and small. Her greatest skill is in understanding the style that suits you and finding practical and beautiful solutions to fit your home. She filters the options down to a manageable number and is very good at putting themes together. She has always made suggestions that were within budget.

She approaches things from a perspective of understanding your style and preferences and then finding something that will suit you and, importantly, other members of your family. Her solutions are both stylish and practical. She works very much to your taste, rather than imposing hers. Whilst I often don't know what I really want, I usually know what I don't want and Crystabel somehow manages to make my vague ideas turn into something that works perfectly!
I get the impression that she treats her clients' houses as if they were her own, in that she pays just as much time, attention and thought to them.
